WILLS VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH
Come and be welcomed ... into so much more!
What is the 'so much more' at Wills Valley Community Church?
It's about providing a safe place for anyone who doesn't feel comfortable in a traditional church.
It's about having an open door policy to accept everyone-right where they are.
It's about not having to look or dress a certain way or have it all together before we walk through the doors of the church.
We'd like to invite you to come visit us at Wills Valley Community Church. When you do, you'll experience 'so much more'...a warm welcome, worship that will help you connect with God, a listening ear, and the life-saving message of Jesus Christ to help you on your spiritual journey.
Wills Valley Community Church has the vision to become a church where people from all walks of life and backgrounds can intimately worship the Lord together. Where the hurting and discouraged can find hope and help. We believe in taking the saving and transformational gospel of Jesus Christ “out of the box" and into the heart of every person. We are fueled by a desire to reach out to the diverse and growing needs of Fort Payne/DeKalb County and we are inspired by the mandate to reach the world for Jesus.
Our hope is to utilize our God-given creative abilities and resources to make life-long connections with people and to empower them to impact the world for Christ.
Visitor Info
Here is a quick look at what you can expect.
Here at Wills Valley Community Church, we’ll make sure the first face you see when you approach the church has a smile on it. Whether you need childcare or a restroom, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go. If it's raining, we will even send a greeter to your car with an umbrella to walk you to the door if you would like!
What do I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, wear whatever makes you feel more comfortable. (You will see that some of our members like to dress up, but most of us wear jeans!)
The Message
You'll enjoy upbeat music and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages. What you learn during the service, you’ll be able to use during the week. We want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us. Pastor Denny Mashburn focuses his messages on real life issues. We want you to be able to say that what we talked about on Sunday gave you something that could help you on Monday: in your family, at your work, with your life. At the core of it all is the fact that God has made all of us to live purpose driven lives. It’s not about religion; it’s about a relationship with God. It’s not about pretending that we’re perfect, it’s about a God who is willing to give His grace to grow us.
What about my kids?
We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. Children's Church and Nursery is offered during both services for ages 6-weeks to 6th grade. We hope your teens will enjoy the main service on Sunday morning and we would like to invite them to join us Sunday evening for Fusion Youth Group.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before the service starts to check-in children for Nursery or Children's Church. Enter through the main front doors of the church. We'll have greeters there ready to point you in the right direction.
A nursing mother's room is located upstairs above the sanctuary with sound and a one-way mirror window from which you can view & hear the service. Feel free to ask a greeter or someone at the Connection Booth (located in the back of the sanctuary) to show you where to find the Nursing Mother's Room. (No men allowed.)
We want to encourage you to allow your children to attend Children's Church so that they can hear a message and music designed for their age and level of understanding.
We also want to encourage you to allow our caring nursery workers to care for your baby during the service so that you and those around you can focus on the pastor's message without being distracted. We will be happy to get you if your baby needs to nurse or becomes too unhappy.
We want you to get to know us and be comfortable trusting us to care for your child! First-time Visitors are welcome to observe our staff, schedule, and children's worship service. Please contact Gina Dorough for details.
If it’s been a long time since you’ve been to church, Wills Valley Community Church has you in mind! There’s already enough you have to think about when you’re visiting a church for the first time. We hope that getting some of this “stuff” out of the way not only encourages you to join us for a church service, but also helps you to connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
